The Key To Success

The Key To Success

The queen in the cover photo is Her Royal Highness, Crystal Sturm and her gorgeous family. Crystal is my muse and the most successful woman I’ve ever met. Her glow up from adolescence to where she is now in life has been incredibly rewarding + God has truly blessed her journey. Here’s a little bit of her story:

“I am a Regional Supervisor for a real estate investment firm. I am in charge of properties that include retail strip centers, apartment complexes, houses, and commercial buildings. I started my career by waiting tables and giving my all in everything I did, even as a waitress. I was offered jobs during this time, and I always turned them down because I loved my free schedule of waiting tables. One day, I decided I wanted more in life and applied for an apartment leasing position upon someone’s suggestion to me that I’d be good at leasing; turns out I was! Nineteen years later, I’m with the same company I started with, only now as the Regional Supervisor. Once I really let God move in my life and take the reigns, my portfolio has more than tripled! God has carried me and taught me how important it is to be in His will, and His timing. He has blessed my properties and my path. My success has been through God. He has given me the ability to serve Him. It did not take long for me to climb the ladder in my career once it started booming. Within a few years, I went from a leasing agent to managing. That management job turned in to multiple properties, Many employees, and the promotions kept coming as I stayed in His will. There were times I got out of God’s will, and my career was halted. I couldn’t see that then, but I do now. It’s amazing what we see when we look back and how important it is to stay on track, to seek God for what is right, even if that means walking away from things or people that aren’t supposed to be in your path. Don’t let people bring you down or steal your joy. Take everything to God. He is the way maker. He is the only friend I need.”

Crystal is the ultimate boss babe, and I’m blessed to know her because I feel like she has paved the way for everything I want in life. Her supportive husband, five children, fur babies, mansion, and even her family vehicle are all goals for me. I hope to be as successful as she is when I turn 30 years old! While stuffing our faces with cake, I had an unintentionally serious conversation with Crystal about all of her success in Christ and how she reached this level. She gave me the three-part key to success:

1. Rely on God for yourself.

“Once I let go and let God, He blessed my heart. When I was waiting tables, I met some people from Apostolic Temple, and they invited me to church. I gave my life to God, and I know He led me to the apartment job that turned into my life career. Again, God entered my life and changed my world. We are blessed and grateful for all God has done in our lives. God gets all the credit; it took work on my part, but without God guiding the ship I wouldn’t be anything.”

2. Be independently happy

“I learned to be independent at the age of sixteen because I thought I knew it all. I went through a lot and worked three restaurant jobs to make my rent and car payment, but I did it, alone! When I found {my husband} Mason, I was already in my property management career, but it was just a few properties at the time, it’s now over ten properties! Having Mason stand by me and support my busy and demanding career has made it possible for me to succeed, for us to succeed. God has also blessed me with five beautiful children. I wanted children long before God said yes. I had to learn to wait and be patient, for He knew when it was right. When the time came He blessed me with children from my heart and my womb.”

3. Stay financially smart/ stable

“I always pay my tithes first...always. There were times when I said I can’t afford to and then something would happen like a dog would get sick or a flat tire; something equivalent to my shortage of tithing would amount to the same cost showing me I had no choice. I had no choice, but to pay God. God is first, and He will protect or provide for the rest.”

Very few people in this world are naturally cool, and Crystal is part of the selected few. She is living her very best life and flourishing in the blessings of God. Crystal’s final piece of advice for the up + coming boss babes behind her:

“You must rely on God and yourself, not a partner. Never weigh someone down, carry your own weight. Be independent, be you and in God lies the key to huge success!”

Babes, don’t quit your daydream. Crystal walked with God and that was her game-changing strategy. Featured below is said success. Her home is absolutely stunning to me! Her interior design + overall style is flawless, please check it out. Click the pictures to see a bit of the Sturm estate.
