Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Dig In

Dig In

There is something so special to me about setting the atmosphere. Whether it's a charcuterie for house guests or candles and soft music for a spa night, it's all about the ambiance -setting the mood for the task at hand. A great way to have a great day would be to dive into The Lord’s Word as soon as you wake up. Jump into your favorite slippers, make a hot cup of coffee, and delight in the Bible. Intentionally set aside time in the morning to focus on bettering yourself for Christ and others.

Meditate Day + Night

Psalm 1:1-3 NIV

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, (v.2 ) but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. (v3 )That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

Today is the perfect day to start an organized routine. Whether you are an early bird or a night owl, separate time in your schedule to be alone with The Lord. Spiritually maturing means prioritizing your time and sticking to a plan to meet with The Lord daily. Some components in your life are more enjoyable if they are spontaneous, but there is beauty in a set schedule. The twenty-four hours we have in the day can be as productive or as uneventful as we allow them to be. Tithe your time in this new year. Try to spend about 2.5 hours a day furthering The Kingdom of The Lord. This year practice fruitful morning devotion and perfecting your craft in the evening.

Perfect Your Craft

Matthew 25:14-30 KJV Parable of the Talents

Prayer + Devotion are essential spiritual growth. The Lord has also given us individual talents as well. Each Christ-follower has a specific calling to further the Kingdom. If you have remarkable handwriting, practice making thank you cards for church visitors. If you can bake, let your youth leaders know you can donate to a church event fundraiser. Absolutely nothing is too small to work with when it comes to ministry; every single person can contribute. If you do not think you have something to add to the Kingdom, you need to self-evaluate. Take some time to sit alone and reflect on your talent. Write down some things that are naturally simple for you, and if you are not sure about the skills you possess, ask around! Do not just fill up space on your church pew in 2020. Take action; your efforts will be blessed. Allow yourself to dig deeper and go further into the knowledge of The Lord and His' Word this year. Do not deny yourself the challenge of growth; start now!
